Obtain a PeopleCert PRINCE2 certification in DAU Program Management

The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and PeopleCert have formed a strategic relationship that lets students get the internationally recognized PRINCE2 Project Management certification, equivalent to the DoD’s Program Management Certification.

Anyone who works for the DoD or is in the Defense Industrial Base can now use a PRINCE2 project management certification. DAU will offer training and certification in the PeopleCert Program Management Advanced course, which includes content that uses PeopleCert’s project management accreditation.

PeopleCert is a training provider that offers syllabi, curriculum, courseware, and exams. It offers training in a variety of areas, including DAU program management. It has a product portfolio of 700 market-leading certifications in IT & Digital Transformation, Project Management, Business and Languages.

Their project management course is called PRINCE2, and it guides you through the stages of a project’s lifecycle, bringing structure and a common language to your projects. It represents the “how to” of project management: it is flexible, scalable, and can be tailored to meet your specific requirements.

PRINCE2 Foundation provides theoretical knowledge of planning, managing, and delivering projects from start to finish.

Obtaining a Prince 2 Certification is good news for DoD students who may want to explore careers beyond Defense acquisition. The certification validates their training, skills, and experience.

John Knott, Head of Global Academic Sales for PeopleCert, said, “Becoming a recognized certification in a key part of the U.S. Defense community is a very important step for PRINCE2’s adoption in the USA.” “The DAU already gives strong project and program management training, and now it can also offer its trainees a credential that is recognized all over the world.”

This is a great step forward in training the defense acquisition workforce.
