ISO 31000: Risk Management Standard

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 31000 is a family of standards relating to risk management. The purpose of ISO 31000:2009 provides a framework and a process for the management of risk that are applicable to any type of organization in public or private sector. ISO 31000 seeks to provide a universally recognized standard for Program Manager (PM), line managers, risk professionals, Stakeholders and companies employing risk management processes to replace the myriad of existing standards, methodologies and standards that differed between industries, subject matters and regions.
